Shelley Wilson hits all the right notes with this book...there are twists, action and enough tension to keep the reader engaged. Great read!
Shelley Wilson’s best book by far...a fast-paced, excellently written young adult novel.
Mia captures the reader’s heart from the start with her wit, snark, and strength. As her world becomes crazier, she becomes stronger. And she is paired nicely with her considerate and merry roommate. The mysteries of Hood Academy are gripping and gruesome, balancing beautifully with the sanctity of the woods. Both are perfect settings for the two sides vying for Mia. The end left me wanting more of Mia’s story, to see her grow into herself more as she discovers where she truly belongs. Oath Breaker is gritty, fast-paced, and addictive, and the need for answers drove me alongside Mia until the whole truth was discovered.

This book certainly gives the reader a lot to be enjoyed. From the romance that became a turning point for the war, to a young girl struggling to find her home, Wilson cultivates a Gothic novel that shows the hazy boundary between good and evil. As such, I would recommend this book to fans of the Evernight series by Elliot McKay, and Once in a Full Moon by Ellen Schreiber.

A dead mother… A violent father… A missing brother…
When Mia’s father is murdered, it’s her estranged uncle that comes to the rescue, but what he offers her in return for his help could be worse than the life she is leaving behind.
Taken to Hood Academy, a unique school deep in the forest, she discovers friendships, love, and the courage to stand on her own.
As she trains hard, Mia takes the oath that seals her future as a werewolf hunter, but not everyone wants Mia to succeed.
Screams in the night. Secret rooms. Hidden letters. Mia becomes an important piece in a game she doesn’t want to play.
Will the truth set her free, or will it destroy her?
Wow! That is the first word that comes to my mind when I think of this book. I am pretty picky about what I read and if a book doesn't grab my attention by the end of the first chapter, I usually give up hope. This book grabbed my attention with the first sentence! I had a seriously hard time putting this book down. The twists and turns kept me on the edge of my seat the whole way through, and the ending left me begging for more! This was by far the best Werewolf YA book I have ever read.
